The Birth Registrar
After the birth of your child you will be asked
to assist an associate from Sturgis Hospital in
completing your baby's birth certificate. Our staff
is very knowledgeable in the laws concerning birth
certificates and can also assist with establishing
legal paternity. Any questions you might have regarding
these processes can be addressed with an associate
in Health Information Management at 269-659-4416.
To obtain a certified copy of your baby's birth
certificate please contact the St. Joseph County
Clerk's office at 269-467-5603. The cost for the
birth certificate as of January 1, 2007 is $14.00
for the first copy.
