Couplet Care The care that we will be providing for both you and your newborn baby is termed "Couplet Care." A registered or licensed practical nurse will care for you and your baby together. This type of care allows for in depth teaching based upon you and your families individuals needs. The responsibility of caring for a newborn can be a bit overwhelming so we are prepared to assist you with this new responsibility in any way that we can. We have many different tools and methods to assist you in accomplishing this new role as a parent. We have many teaching videos and DVDs in both English and Spanish that covers all aspects of infant care. We provide very personalized teaching on a one on one basis to all our patients and their families. We also have an extensive Family Instruction Booklet that is given to all patients to take home, which is written in English and Spanish. This too, provides many helpful hints and is an excellent reference guide for all new families. Whatever child this is for you, our goal is to provide you and your family with the best care and teaching possible in order to prepare you for your new or continued role as parents.
