The rapid developments in the field of medicine

Jr., M.D. has devoted his practice to this

A native of the Philippines, Dr. Cabansag
received his medical degree from the University
of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center
in 1968. Beginning his surgical residency
at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee,
Dr. Cabansag then completed his second, third
and fourth years at St. John Hospital, Detroit,
Michigan. He subsequently served an additional
year at St. John as Chief Resident. Since
that time, he has attended conferences, workshops,
and courses regularly in order to remain abreast
of developments and to expand his skills.
Because of this extra measure of certification
in training, Dr. Cabansag is considered an
expert in the field of general surgery and
laparoscopic procedures. He is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Abdominal Surgery
and a Fellow of the American Society of Laser
Surgery and Medicine.
He is also a member of the American Medical
Association, the American Society of Abdominal
Surgeons, the society of Laparoendoscopic
Surgeons, and the Michigan Society of General
Surgeons. Dr. Cabansag opened his practice
in Sturgis in 1974.
